GEMMA Micro Zebrafish Diet

Gemma Micro, of Skretting, is formulated with a high percentage of soluble hydrolysed marine proteins, HUFAs, phospholipids and algae resulting in each particle exhibiting a striking green colour. The ingredients can be found on the feed label of the feed bag. This fish feed is a highly stable feed exhibiting excellent physical characteristics and is a non GMO product according to EC regulation 1829/2003.

Integration of this fish feed to the Zebrafish feeding regime requires NO Artemia, and can reduce feed frequency to only one feeding event per day for adult fish. Smaller sizes of the diet allow for earlier transition to microdiet from live feed.

Feeding this fish feed for the entire life cycle of zebrafish leads to healthy, robust, and highly fecund zebrafish.

The following sizes are available:

• GEMMA 300 is used for adult zebrafish starting from 30 days post-hatch, and can be fed at 5% of the biomass only once per day.
• GEMMA 150 can be used in early transition to completely remove Artemia from the feeding protocol of zebrafish.
• GEMMA 75 can be used in early transition to reduce or eliminate rotifers from the feeding protocol of zebrafish.

All feeds have a shelf-life of 24 months from date of manufacture and should be stored in a cool (max. 20 degrees Celsius), dark and dry place. Once open, the feed should be utilized within 1 month and kept sealed in a refrigerator.

GEMMA 300 and GEMMA 150 is packed in special aluminum/polyethylene, 0.5 kg and 2.5 kg bags under modified atmosphere conditions. GEMMA 75 is packed in special aluminum/polyethylene, 0.5 kg and 1.0 kg bags under modified atmosphere conditions.
